Programs at Oakwood

We are always looking for volunteers for these programs. If you'd like to get involved and have some time during school hours or after school hours, we'd love to find something for you to do! Student Involvement

These are voluntary extra-curricular programs. Click the links for more details on how your student(s) can get involved. 

Owl Chorale - choir lessons and performances

Chess Club - chess lessons and competitions

Service Club - various service activities throughout the year

Adventure Club - various adventure activities throughout the year 

Birthday Books - personalized donation to school library

Grand "Person" Lunch - a grand "person" is invited to school lunch 

Reflections - arts recognition and achievement 

Book Fair - purchases help the school library grow


Student Enrichment

Many of these programs take place in the classroom under the direction of the teacher or a volunteer. Students participate during school hours either automatically or by invitation. 

Meet the Masters - art program taught in the classroom

DYAD Reading - reading with students 

Ribbon Week - make safe & healthy choices

STEM Fair - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fair

Teacher Appreciation - a week of appreciation events

Jr Achievement - teaches about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, work-readiness, etc.   

Field Day - day of outdoor games and fun in the last week of school

Promotion - graduation ceremony for 5th grade students
